Mimma Viglezio
Gucci Group Executive VP Global Communications
Mimma Viglezio has been Gucci Group Executive Vice President Global Communications since June 2005.
Based in London, she is responsible for the Group’s Corporate Communications, Media Buying, Corporate Image as well as Market Intelligence and she coordinates all the different communications activities managed directly within each of the ten Gucci Group brands.
Born and raised in Lugano Switzerland, Mimma Viglezio holds a degree in Italian and English literature from the University of Geneva, where she graduated with a mémoire in Roman Philology.
She started her career in the auctions world where she acted for five years as Marketing Manager at Habsburg, Feldhman Auctioneers and then Antiquorum, a Swiss Auction House, based in Geneve, specialized in Watches.
She then moved to the public relations renowned firm Hill & Knowlton Italy in Milan, where she served for four years as Head of the High Profile Goods Division advising clients such as Bulgari and Celine. Later she moved to Rome to become External Relations Director Worldwide at Bulgari, where she spent ten years in a variety of positions including Corporate Communications Executive Director, role in which she oversaw global communications matters for the brand: external relations, advertising, media, financial press and events.
Before joining Gucci Group, Mimma Viglezio was Worldwide Communications Director at Louis Vuitton in Paris.
Mimma Viglezio is an hectic traveller, she speaks 5 languages and feels at home in every continent, with a strong preference for India, where she has travelled yearly for the past 10 years.
She has a passion for contemporary art and literature.
Mimma Viglezio is Vice President of PRASAD Italia ONLUS, a non for profit organisation based in India.
